WHAT THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ARE

Eruch Jessawala

Baba has revealed to us that already within everyone, the Truth is. It is not a question of learning this Truth, but of unlearning all the falsehood we are accustomed to believing and what is this falsehood but our own selves?

When I say, "I am Eruch," that is not the Truth. That is a falsehood. But no matter how many times I say, "I am God," I will still feel that I am Eruch. In this case, it is also a type of falsehood for me to say, "I am God." It behooves me, until I truly experience it, to say, "I am Eruch," but always to keep in the back of my mind that this is not so.

It is a paradox, I know. It seems like a contradiction, I know it, and it is so. That is why the best solution is not to say, "I am God," or "I am Eruch," but "I am His slave." Perhaps that is not the ultimate Truth, but it is the truth with a small t, which will most easily lead us to the Truth with the capital T, of the "I am God" state.

You already know what you should be doing, everyone knows this. You do not need someone else to tell you. You have heard me tell stories so many times about how Baba would correct His lovers. He would not say, "You should do this and this and this," or "Never do that, or that or that." God has already given us such rules, that is what the ten commandments are. Isn't that so? For what else are they but rules of conduct?
