READ HIS WORKS OVER AND OVER AGAIN

Adi K. Irani

The history of having to own Baba literature begins from 1922, the year I joined Avatar Meher Baba. It was then (before He began His Silence) that He told me and others in Manzil-e-Meem, "In time to come I will give you such writings that will convince you without doubt the validity of My Reality."

I was ever so eager to receive and read His writings. But the process of conviction on my part began then slowly and surely. Many years after that came the full-fledged revelation of His entire writings when all the dark corners of my understanding became fully enlightened.

No wonder, on many an occasion, Baba advised old and new comers to read His works over and over again. To borrow Baba books and read them is one thing; to own His books and read them is another.

When you own Baba books, you can refer to anything and everything at any time you spontaneously feel like asking yourself a question of which you don't easily get a reply. Baba books should always be on hand to read, re-read and for purposes of reference.

Owning Baba books is a Sahavas or companionship which has so much grown in need, especially after Baba dropped His body.

May His Love enlighten the hearts of the readers of His works, and may His messages give them a perfect understanding of who Baba is — the Avatar of the Age — to enable them to give this understanding to others!
