MEHERU WAS THE ONE HILLOO MOST LOOKED UP TO

 
Of all the children, Meheru was the one Hilloo most looked up to. She wanted to be like Meheru and particularly admired her for her athletic ability. Meheru could outrun all the other children, win all the games they played, climb trees quicker and higher than the others, swing highest on the swing, and do handstands, somersaults and cartwheels, which none of the others could do.

Hilloo loved swinging, and Meheru showed her how to make the swing go higher, but Hilloo could never reach the heights Meheru could. She taught Hilloo how to stand on her head and how to bend over backwards and touch the ground with her hands.

Meheru performed all these stunts with ease, but Hilloo needed help. When we all went to see movies at Sarosh Cinema with Baba, the two always sat together. During The Mummy's Curse, Hilloo clung to Meheru's hand, fearful that the mummy might come out of the screen and get her. During the interval Meheru stood up and started walking like the mummy to scare Hilloo, who screamed in fright, while Baba looked on in amusement.
