THE SONG OF THE PANCHVATI CAVE

Bhau Kalchuri

After eleven days Baba completed His seclusions in the Panchvati Cave. During this period the mandali gathered around the cave every evening and sang:

Hari, Paramatma, Allah, Ahuramazd, God, Yezdan, Hu
Hari, Paramatma, Allah, Ahuramazd, God, Yezdan, Hu

Baba Himself composed the beautiful melody to which these names of God were sung. The lovely singing of the mandali pervaded the atmosphere of Meherabad, bathing all who came there for darshan with Baba's Grace in the form of this song He had composed. Those who came with hearts yearning for Baba's blessing left overflowing with His love!

THE SONG OF THE PANCHVATI CAVE

Hear the Song of the Panchvati Cave —
In its melody are the soothing notes of self-forgetfulness!

Casting all care aside,
Let's give our very lives away to the Supreme Beloved!

Let our hearts burn with longing for Him
And resolve lovingly to carry out His every Wish!

Whoever hears even the faintest echo
Of His rapturous Song loses himself in the Beloved,

And when the last trace of self is lost
One's True Self is found — in Beloved Meher!

Remember Meher Prabhu, Sustainer of the world!
Hail Meher, Ocean of Mercy — the Avatar of the Age!

Let us sing the Song of the Panchvati Cave —
Let it call for the Presence of our Beloved:

Hari, Paramatma, Allah, Ahuramazd, God, Yezdan, Hu
