KNOWING WHO YOU ARE

Don E. Stevens

Very early in my efforts to find out who I was, I observed that the person who condemns loudly is frequently immersed in an attempt to cover up his own situation or his fears. The one who has found his way and knows who he is, is usually silent or, if he speaks, broadly tolerant.

The essential is to know, or at least to have faith, that it is the Avatar himself who is in charge of working out these complex matters in each human being.

Our maximum contribution to a companion is to sustain him in the crises he must undergo. Let him sense without words that our relation is based on the humanness and the honesty that formed the attraction between us from the beginning.
